Continuing to Learn!

The Tourism Team was busy in April with two meetings to talk about needs/ desires of visitors and related goals we want to set. Participants have openly shared their passion for giving visitors opportunities to learn about Rock Hill's rich history and culture as well as the many facets of art and art education. And we've learned more about the Rock Hill Sports and Event Center and events already scheduled there for 2019. We also thank Matt Dosch with Comporium for talking with us about future developments planned for the Fountain Park area, including a performing arts and education center as well as hotel, retail, restaurant space and more!

Lot's of ideas are bubbling ... How about some public restrooms like in other successful downtown's (Greenville, SC to name one.) And benches and plazas for enjoying the outdoors? Our next meeting it May 2 at 4 PM at the Glencairn Garden Learning Center. Come join us and help determine Rock Hill's future!

May 5, 2019 brought the Carolina Panthers another step closer to Rock Hill with Fountain Park hosting a celebration for the signing of the Professional Sports Team Incentive Act by SC Governor Henry McMaster. Tourism is sure to explode when the Carolina Panthers build their new headquarters and practice facility in Rock Hill. New businesses, hotels, restaurants and residents will be attracted to the area as well. And all can enjoy the wonderful attractions that Knowledge Park has in store for them! Welcome, Carolina Panthers!
