    New Developments to Mix Affordable Housing with Market Rate Housing

    In meetings with developers at City Hall there has been a push to add in affordable housing in the downtown area. Directors and managers of City departments make it a clear point to all developers who come through that any proposed housing not only has to have an affordable market rate, but that they were pushing for low-income housing to be included as well. "A huge basis for Knowledge Park’s foundation is inclusivity, no matter what socio-economic background you come from. Having low-income housing mixed in with market rate housing is one way they are trying to keep this foundation solid..."     The Dream Center in Pickens County - 111 Hillcrest Drive, Easley. There was an article in YEC's Jan 2018 South Carolina Living about it. There are some great ideas that could be incorporated into what ROC is already doing.
